What Is a Hybrid Strain?
The word “hybrid” refers to a mixture of two different prominent elements. In the case of hybrid marijuana strains, those two elements are sativa and indica cannabis plants.
Traditionally, sativa is associated with a more energetic, cerebral, “upper” sort of high, while indica is more associated with a warm, mellow, sleepy body high. However, in recent years this has been disproven. The answer is more complex, which is a good thing because that means there are far more options in any given hybrid plant than simply drawing from two types of parent plants.
A hybrid can pull a startling number of specific effects from each parent strain so that you can find a strain that gives you a head high with a body buzz but without the munchies, for example. This is all thanks to the complete profile of cannabinoids and terpenes in the plant matter.

Sometimes we turn to hybrid strains not for a catnap but for a boost. Tangerine Dream is just such a strain. This bud is uplifting and thought-sharpening, giving you a gentle energy boost while simultaneously calming your thoughts. What more could you ask for? With a THC level between 20% and 25%, this citrus-heavy hybrid is also great for soothing pain. Its flavors also include earthy berries and sweet tropical fruits.
Based on curb appeal alone, it’s no wonder Scooby Snacks is such a popular strain. This strain wants to do more than just charm you with its nostalgic name, though — it’s an uplifting, mood-improving experience that can sharpen your focus without leading to paranoia or anxiety. Even though it gives you energy, it also delivers a calming effect that’s great for focus.
The mouth-watering flavor of Scooby Snacks includes a light sugary sweetness, the earthy tang of pine trees, and a cooling, refreshing mint flavor. You might just find it’s your new favorite go-to for day-to-day weed that keeps you functional and boosts performance.

This uplifting bud is strangely delicious, with the flavors of sweet and sour cherries and classic diesel coming together.
