CBD Honey Sticks

CBD Honey Sticks are incredibly delicious. There’s plenty to love about cannabidiol (CBD). It’s great for you. It won’t intoxicate you or hinder your daily activities. It’s also fully legal.

Historically speaking, whenever we love something, we pour some honey on it. We did it with butter and Cheerios — why not do it with CBD?

Below, you’ll learn what CBD honey sticks are, how to use them, their benefits, and where to buy them.

What Is a CBD Honey Stick?

The first thing to cover is what CBD is. This chemical compound is found within both the hemp and marijuana breeds of cannabis, but it’s found in a much higher concentration in the hemp plant.

Research is still in its infancy, but evidence suggests that CBD is loaded with health benefits. As of now, there’s good reason to believe that CBD can lower blood pressure, help manage chronic pain, reduce depression and anxiety, help with insomnia, and reduce inflammation. It may also prove effective in fighting neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer’s.

We’ve developed numerous methods of ingesting CBD. We cook it into edibles, we smoke or vape it, we rub it into our skin with salves and creams, and we use oils and tinctures to take it sublingually.

A CBD honey stick provides a new method, and it’s the most delicious one yet: CBD mixed into honey. That means you can slurp it straight into your mouth, mix it into your tea, drizzle it on top of your English muffin…the list goes on.

Why Honey?

Beyond the fact that it’s delicious, there are several compelling reasons to mix CBD with honey. Honey is a superfood in the truest sense. It boosts immunity with its antiviral and antibacterial properties, helping your wounds heal faster and fighting off sickness more effectively.

Honey is also easier to digest than regular sugar. Whereas sugar has to be broken down by the body, since honey is already partially broken down (lest you should forget: Honey is bee vomit), it is easier to digest. The reason behind this is that bees have added enzymes to honey.

Honey is also good for coughs and is an antioxidant, which helps your body neutralize free radicals that can wreak havoc in your cells.

Mass Appeal

To state the obvious, creating honey sticks was also a way to appeal to the masses. People love sweet things. Honey is great because it’s sweet but has a distinct flavor and is healthier than plain sugar.

That flavor helps mask the natural flavor of CBD. While CBD on its own doesn’t taste repulsive, it has a grassy, earthy flavor that some people don’t love. By blending honey and CBD in a honey straw, people are automatically happy to try CBD.

How to Use a CBD Honey Stick

Don’t dive into honey sticks without first knowing how to use them. Luckily, it’s easy — the only thing you want to be aware of is that there is a medicinal dose of CBD in there, so you don’t want to overdo it!

A good rule of thumb for starting CBD dosing is to shoot for between 10 mg and 30 mg for a starting dose. Stick with it for a week or so, and if you don’t feel any effects, you can add another 5 to 10 mg to your next dose. Keep track of the effects you feel so you can figure out how well it’s working.

To take a honey stick, open one side of the stick and squeeze the CBD/honey mixture out. You can eat it directly or add it to your coffee, tea, recipe, or baked good.

Can I Get High off of CBD Honey Sticks?

No, you cannot get high off of CBD honey sticks. The CBD oil inside the mixture comes from hemp, which legally cannot contain more than 0.3% THC by mass (THC is the cannabinoid found primarily in marijuana that gets you high).

Even if the CBD in your honey stick is sourced from the marijuana plant, the THC will have been removed to ensure it doesn’t have an intoxicating effect on you.

Also, CBD honey sticks will not show up on a drug test.

The Benefits of CBD Honey Sticks

CBD alone has numerous beneficial effects on the brain and body. When combined with honey, those effects expand. CBD honey sticks can:

  • Help lower blood pressure
  • Boost your energy
  • Relieve a sore throat
  • Help soothe coughs
  • Neutralize free radicals in your body
  • Reduce inflammation
  • Relieve anxiety
  • Help heart health
  • Improve depression and anxiety

Are There Side Effects?

CBD is famously safe to use, but that doesn’t mean it can’t produce occasional unwanted side effects. Among these are:

  • Nausea
  • Diarrhea
  • Dry mouth
  • Low blood pressure
  • Interference with other medications

In extreme cases, some people may be unsuited for CBD usage due to a detrimental effect on liver function. This is rare, however.

Note that CBD honey sticks contain a low dosage of CBD, so it’s unlikely that these side effects will be present or pronounced.

Where to Buy Them

CBD honey sticks are available at a large number of places. Unlike marijuana products, which must be confined to dispensaries, CBD honey sticks may be found in grocery stores and other places that sell CBD products.
