Missouri cannabis sales totaled $102.9 million in February, the first month of adult-use cannabis legalization and sales in the state.
Of that $102.9 million total, $71.7 million came from adult-use cannabis sales while the remaining $31.2 million was from medical cannabis sales, according to the Missouri Department of Health and Human Services (DHSS), Division of Cannabis Regulation.
Missouri recorded $12.6 million in total cannabis sales during the first weekend of adult-use sales Feb. 3 to Feb. 5, with $8.5 million attributed to adult-use sales and $4.1 million attributed to medical sales.
Across Missouri, there are currently 196 operational dispensaries for both adult-use and medical cannabis sales and 51 operational cultivations, according to DHSS.
Missouri legalized cannabis beginning Feb. 3, following voters’ passage of Amendment 3 during the November 2022 elections, making the Show-Me State the 19th state to legalize adult-use cannabis.
