I LOVE EMPIRE CANNABIS CLUB! This store opening and me being able to visit and shop for cannabis product like any other store was amazing and a dream fulfilled for a cannabis customer. I was already to apply for the med card and came across an article about Empire. It was a great find. Everyone is knowledgeable, product line is extensive with strains and they have everything from candy to flower to drinks. Everyone is so NICE! I love that you get an escort upon entering the store and browse freely with them as they answer all your questions. All you need is to show id to enter. If you want to buy they have 2 membership options $15 for 24hrs or $50 with $25 discount for a month. If you want a cool, nice spot to venture into the new NYC cannabis world this is a GREAT place to start. You'll buy before you leave. Thank You Empire!
Now as a bit of a cannabis connoisseur myself NYs new legal platform interested me. So I decided to go purchasing from a dispensary since i am a cardholder. As I looked on Google maps i came across Empire and though they arent an actual dispensary it appeared to be similar and interesting since they required no card. What they do require is membership to purchase.. basically a fee on top of whatever the price is. The fee is $15 for a 24 hr or $50 for a month long membership but you get a free $10 preroll ... which is even cheaper than their previous deal of giving $25 discount. Prices go from reasonable to unreasonable to ridiculous after you added the membership ship fee.
The flower looked decent in display however my 1/8 was dry and partially crushed when i got it someone even told me too watch for PM based on a pic i posted.
If you already in NY itll be cheaper to stay with your connect or join a real dispensary. This place more concerned with over charging than quality in my opinion.The staff was great tho and the flower wasn't bad at all just way too much and i dont mind paying for great weed but not overpaying
LES location: This place takes themselves way to serious. I encountered one friendly person there and he was the budtender. Everyone one else acted like I was lucky to step inside their temple of bud and displayed very little personality. I tried chatting with them but no one knew how to have a friendly convo. You HAVE to pay to join their "club" before any purchases. It was really awkward with 8 employees just standing around not being engaging or friendly. They assume they're being different and offering a quality experience. While it is a different experience it was the worst customer service I received in the entire city and that includes every single retail, restaurant and cannabis shop I went to. With so many options in NY I would pass this place over if I were you.
