Heritage Cannabis Approved to Export CBD Products to Brazil

The Canadian-based licensed producer will expand its CBD product offerings to Brazil following regulatory approval from the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency.

Heritage Cannabis Holdings Corp., a Canadian-based cannabis operator, is set to bring its CBD products to Brazil.

Heritage, headquartered in Toronto, received regulatory approval from the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency (ANVISA) to import its CBD products into South America’s largest country, according to a company release. Heritage currently offers its products to both medical and adult-use markets in both Canada and the U.S.

“This is a very important step for Heritage as we continue to expand the reach of our high-quality products beyond the borders of Canada,” Heritage CEO David Schwede said. “Brazil has a very healthy market outlook due to its large population, and we are poised and in position to leverage our early entry in the market and take advantage of the many opportunities in the CBD product space.”

In 2021, Heritage was granted by Health Canada the first license to export cannabis products from Canada to Brazil. That license was granted after Heritage partnered with CannaBR Exports Corp., a Brazilian-based pharmaceutical and CBD product importation and distribution company, in December 2020 to meet ANVISA regulatory requirements.
